Much of Art Farmer’s music, recordings and memorabilia has been donated to the Living Jazz Archives at William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ. In addition, the Art Farmer Jazz Master Scholarship has been established to assist students in the Jazz Studies program at the school.
These are important developments that will provide additional exposure of Farmer’s significant legacy to students and researchers. Farmer now joins an elite group of musicians whose materials are stored at the Archives including trumpeters Thad Jones and Clark Terry, saxophonist Michael Brecker and pianists James Williams and Mulgrew Miller.
